The wise man said, "To everything there is a season" or a time appointed. This means that there are situations that occur in our lives that has a beginning and an end; an appointed period to fulfill its purpose. This is encouraging particularly to the child of God who has been given a trial or test to endure. Trials can appear to be forever because of the intensity of it at times, but be assured that God has given the trial an expiration date that is specifically attached to the purpose of the test. So, time and purpose are connected to one another fulfilling God's will for us and ultimately, if we trust Him, producing His glory in us and ensuring our eternal reward.
